So you want to know more about me?

When I was a little kid I wanted to be an archaeologist, especially a marine archaeologist. That was, of course, after the even earlier period when I was a very little kid and wanted to be an actress or a ballerina. There was also a period when I wanted to be an interior decorator.

Then when I was about 13 I decided I wanted to write and draw and self-publish my own comics, like my childhood heroes, Wendy and Richard Pini.

When I was in high school, I joined the staff of the literary and arts magazine, and ended up being one of the editors my senior year. I also put out one issue of my own zine.

Then in college, I founded a new literary and arts magazine, and worked on it for four years. I ended up mainly studying comparative religion and the philosophy of science, and did my senior thesis (well, my Division 3, but unless you went to Hampshire you won't know what that means) on ancient Sumerian religion.

Since graduating from college, I've become interested in web design, and have been teaching myself layout and HTML and CSS and how to use Dreamweaver and Photoshop, and so on. It entertains me when I'm not working at the series of pointless temp jobs I've had. I've learned a lot in the last two years, but I still consider myself a beginner at all this.

I've long since given up on the comic book thing, due to my complete lack of drawing talent. I'm concentrating on prose fiction instead.

I recently finished the first draft of my first novel, and in a bit I'll start on revising that. I'm also trying to submit short stories to places that will actually pay me for them.

My goals for the future include moving somewhere warmer and closer to the ocean, getting a job I enjoy, figuring out what to do with my life, getting my stories written and published, and being happy, among other things.
