Worship And Suffering In Ancient Mesopotamian Religion

This is my Division Three, which I like to call a senior thesis on steroids and crack. It's what I spent my last year of college doing, an independant study of Sumerian religion that led to this very long essay. After learning more about the subject than at least 95% of the people in this world, if not 99%, I knew enough to know that I was a mere beginner who knew nothing at all. Sadly, far too many people are ignorant of ancient Mesopotamia, and Sumer especially. I'd like to do my little part to correct that, so now you can get a quite basic overview of their religion here. This is one of the bases of Western civilization, after all.
